Every year we go with my family to Salt Lake to see the lights, go shopping, eat at Olive Garden and every year I love every bit of it. I am so grateful for my parents who make this event happen each year.

That sounds like a fantastic tradition. I'm afraid I took for granted being close to Salt Lake and Temple Square. I miss it.
That looks like so much fun. What a great idea. My sister is sure sad to move away from your mom. She always tells me how much she loves being her neighbor.
